This chapter, despite the use of “Sales Data” in the title, doesn’t differ significantly from the prior chapters. The focus is more on regression analysis as implemented in JMP. But the themes of the earlier chapters hold. These include transforming your data into useful and actionable information by
  • looking at them for trends, patterns, and anomalies;
  • wrangling them into a form suitable for analysis perhaps by a transformation function;
  • modeling them to extract key metrics such as elasticities.
