SMMs’ success depends on deciding if they are ready to grow—truly committed to invest the time and expense to fully analyze their situations and take the necessary steps to successfully develop and execute a growth plan based on:
• Knowing costs and margins
• Determining if existing or new customers and products are needed to attain desired growth
• Gaining insights into why products and services have or lack competitive advantage, and
• Better understanding markets and where opportunities exist for new customers and products.
