Competitive Analysis

IN MILITARY strategy, all decisions are made as the result of thinking about and understanding what your enemy is doing and is likely to do. Sometimes this is called “competitive response.” It is a vital factor in your decision making in a competitive market.

For this reason, competitive analysis is one of the most important activities you can engage in. It is the starting point of differentiating your product or service from all of your competitors. It requires that you understand your competitor and the perceived benefits or qualities of his product or service at a deep level.
