Introduction
Many of the patterns in this book can be broken apart into smaller sections for analysis, but ultimately we reach a point of irreducible functionality. At this level of detail we can observe the core activities that make the overall solution possible. Core activities describe the general capabilities that underlie most enterprise mashups. It is through a combination of these elements that the patterns in this book are realized. As new patterns are discovered, they will undoubtedly continue to make use of one or more of these capabilities.
