Acoustics of Listening Rooms and Home Theaters

This chapter considers the area of a home designated for the playback of recorded music. This may be a music listening room, or an audio/video home theater. Some homes have a multipurpose space, typically a living room that also serves as a listening room. Other homes have a room that is dedicated to the enjoyment of music and films. The playback equipment can range from a simple stereo system to an elaborate home cinema.
