Add Paragraphs
In (X)HTML, the basic unit of text is a paragraph. To create a paragraph, you simply begin typing in the Design view window. When you are done with the paragraph, you press Enter on your keyboard. Dreamweaver wraps the (X)HTML paragraph tags around the text you just completed typing, as well as creating a new set of tags for the text you will be typing next. You cannot see these tags unless you switch to Code view or Split view, but they are there.
You may find it odd that pressing Enter creates an extra space between the paragraphs, and that the first line of the text is not indented. This is actually due to the fact that in (X)HTML, paragraphs are designated with a default amount of space above and below and ...
