Select Objects with the Selection Tool

You can select objects on the Flash Stage so that you can modify them. For example, you might want to change the color of the stroke outlining a fill or modify the curve of a particular line segment. Or you may want to group several strokes and fills into a single object and save the object as a symbol in your document.

You can use the Selection tool to quickly select any single object, such as a line segment or fill. To select several objects, such as several shapes or an entire drawing, you can drag a frame, also called a marquee, around the items. Flash selects anything inside the marquee. Any edits you make affect all the selected items.
