Convert Video to Flash Video
In order to work in video in Flash, you need to convert it from whichever format it was created in to the Flash Video format. Flash Video files provide a small file size while maintaining quality. Flash Video is commonly referred to as FLV, after the file extension used with converted movies.
You need to use the Adobe Media Encoder in order to convert video from its original source format to FLV. The Media Encoder is included along with Flash, and is either accessible from the first screen of the Import Video dialog box, or directly from the operating system through the Start Menu or the Dock.
