An Introduction to Charts
One of the main components of Excel is its ability to take the numerical data in your worksheet and create a chart.
Charts help to visually show the data in meaningful ways that you may not see clearly when viewing only numbers. For example, charting data as a line chart can help you to spot trends, while charting data as a pie chart helps you to see which product is a bestseller in relation to others in a set of data.
Types of Charts
Excel provides many types of charts to choose from, and one of the main decisions when creating a chart is selecting a chart that best conveys the message you want. The following table describes the most common chart types.
