9I Can’t Shift

During a motivation workshop, managers for a major video game developer chose a goal where their outlook was suboptimal and then took turns asking one another the questions to create choice, connection, and competence. After twenty minutes, I asked everyone to get up and stand beneath the sign that represented their current motivational outlook. I was thrilled as participants moved to the side of the room where I’d placed signs for the aligned, integrated, and inherent outlooks! They had experienced a shift.
