I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Custom attributes
In AD schema, you are allowed to add custom attributes. In organizations, there are situations where this option is useful. Most of the time, it is related to application integration requirements with AD infrastructure. In modern infrastructures, applications are decentralizing identity management. Organization's identities can sit on AD as well as applications. If these applications are integrated with AD it still provides central identity management but that's not always the case. Some applications have their own way of handling their user accounts and privileges.
