Custom attributes

In an AD schema, you are allowed to add custom attributes. In organizations, there are situations where this option is useful. Most of the time, it is related to application integration requirements with AD infrastructure. In modern infrastructures, applications are decentralizing identity management. Organizations' identities can sit on AD as well as in applications. If these applications are integrated with AD, it still provides central identity management, but that's not always the case.
