Working with panels and the Panel Bin
Panels, as Adobe states, are "…there to help you manage, monitor and modify images…" in Photoshop Elements. You'll find the most important panels in the Panel Bin, located on the right-hand side of the main screen in the Quick and the Expert edit modes.
