Creating our own widget
Now that we know the basics of creating custom widgets, that is to say, dijits for our web applications, let's put our knowledge into practice. In this part of the chapter, we will transform the single-page application code we wrote in Chapter 1, Your First Mapping Application into a dijit that can be used with any map. We'll then use that dijit
in a map application that can be expanded to include other dijits as well.
