It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

As you’ve seen, the notes and dimensions that you entered into the Unit.dwg file can be turned off or frozen in the Plan.dwg file so that they don’t interfere with the graphics of the drawing. The Unit.dwg file can be part of another drawing file that contains more detailed information about the typical unit plan at a larger scale.
