Chapter 21. Playing Nice with Others: LDT and LandXML
As great as it would be for the whole world to move to a Civil 3D model with real coordinates so everyone could share data without pause, it's not going to happen this year. In land development, you work with a large number of team partners on most projects. This can include architects, contractors, other civil engineers, planners, and landscape architects on a small job. On a large job, the number of people on this list may double or triple. An important part of being a good team member is sharing data cleanly. This chapter covers importing Land Desktop and LandXML data as well as exporting data in drawing and LandXML formats.
