Large Assembly Strategies

Working with large assemblies is more manageable than ever before with fully native 64-bit support, removing the memory limitations related to the Windows XP 32-bit platform. Large assembly design on 32-bit systems is improved in the Autodesk® Inventor® software with the use of tools such as shrink-wrap and substitute level of detail (LOD) representations. LODs allow you to swap out complex subassemblies with single substitute parts of less detail, all the while maintaining model properties and an accurate bill of materials (BOM).
