Paint Effects

Paint Effects is a special Maya module designed to allow artists to quickly build, animate, and render large amounts of organic and natural detail. Trees, grass, fowers, clouds, blood vessels, vines, rocks, and even small towns can be interactively painted into a scene in three dimensions. Paint Effects is both a dynamic particle-based system and a procedural modeling tool. There are many options for rendering the objects that you create using Paint Effects, giving you an astonishing amount of creative flexibility when incorporating natural elements into your projects.
