The tendency rooted deeply in Indian media, both national and regional including print, TV and digital, over several decades is that only the negative is treated as news. The immediate fall-out of this mindset is that the mainstream newspapers, TV news channels and web portals are full of negative stories focusing on crime, death, scandals and so on, and there is little space for anything good happening in society.
