When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The evolution in versions 2.0 and 3.0
As we see, even from the very beginning, the Hejlsberg's team started with a complete, flexible, and modern platform, capable of being extended in many ways as technology evolves. This intention became clear since version 2.0.
The first actual fundamental change that took place in the language was the incorporation of Generics. Don Syme, who would later on lead the team that created the F# language, was very active and led this team as well, so it was ready for version 2.0 of the .NET Framework (not just in C# but in C++ and VB.NET as well).
