Painting a Landscape
In studying these different kinds of landscapes, it is mainly the artist Manù who will serve as our guide. This watercolor artist is especially fond of painting landscapes. Sometimes, Manù likes to work with compound colors, such as Van Dyke brown or indigo blue. As he himself says cheerfully, it is mostly for the sake of convenience that these two colors have a place on his palette. Nevertheless, he creates most of his blends himself and is eloquent in sharing his love of watercolors, pigments, and color mixtures. He also offers classes and has put together many step-by-step sets of instructions that he shares on his website.
