Chapter 17. Documenting an LDS
As an LDS matures and stabilizes, you should create a document describing its contents. This document is helpful for several reasons. First, the act of writing the document will force you to scrutinize the LDS with a critical eye; if you took shortcuts while creating the LDS, the act of writing about it will reveal the errors lurking within it.
Second, if the LDS is good, a supporting document can help it become an enduring resource for the culture whose information it describes. That is, the document helps ensure that the culture can continue to use the LDS even if you are no longer present to read it aloud or design sample data about it.
