It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Linux Virtual Machines
Contrary to rumor, Hyper-V does support Linux guest operating systems. We're going to wrap up this chapter by spending some time on Microsoft's support for running Linux in Hyper-V virtual machines.
The History of Linux on Hyper-V
Microsoft has developed integration components for Linux. There have been three releases over the years. Version 1.0 offered support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). Version 2.0 was released at the same time as Windows Server 2008 R2 and added support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
