As you've heard me say throughout the book, implementing software is very difficult—it never goes smoothly. When it is done successfully, there will still be moments of anguish and stress, and there will be risks that turn into issues that must be dealt with.
This chapter could fit anywhere in the book, but I put it here as the most problematic time on a project tends to happen toward the end of the Create stage. When you are several months into the project and users aren't getting a feature they want, you tend to see issues, and you should be prepared to handle them.
