Clients
Client applications tend to be one of the most important aspects of a Lync deployment, and they can cause the most pain if they are not fully understood. Lync 2013 includes several significant changes from the previous release, updating the main Lync 2013 desktop client with new features such as multiparty video and integrated Persistent Chat, introducing a new client specifically designed for Windows 8 and optimized for touch-screen devices, and significantly changing the Lync Web App client, resulting in Lync Attendee now being deprecated.
