3.3. General System Management
Most of what I have covered in this chapter has been about creating the virtual machines and managing those specific aspects of the machines. But management is much broader than that. Things like security, backup, and patch management still need to be done on the virtual machines, just like on your physical machines.
For the most part, the tools and processes you have in place for your physical environment are likely to work on your virtual machines. But there are some nuances. This section will look at those nuances that are specific to the virtual environment.
