Nowadays, in a lot of companies, the IT environment is way more important than it was a few years ago. The IT environment is one of the primary processes. For example, the order system or the e-mails need to be fully functional 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This makes it hard for the IT department to perform maintenance or migrations, for example.
