Chapter 11. Embedded Analytics
A powerful way to leverage your report charts and dashboards is to embed them directly into Lightning pages to provide timely information for your users. For example, your sales reps might log in and see their individual progress toward quota, open pipeline, and recently logged activities appearing visually within a dashboard in their Home tab. Your customer success managers might pull open a key account and can see summary results and activity in the form of report charts visible directly in their accounts.
In this chapter, you will learn how to embed report charts and dashboards as components within Lightning pages. You’ll see how to go one step further and have your embedded items appear optionally based on attributes that you specify.

You’ll need to be a system administrator or have the help of one to be able to embed items into pages.
Embedded Report Charts
Embedded report charts are great for providing timely information to your users. Figure 11-1 shows an example of two charts embedded in the lefthand sidebar of an account layout in Lightning. The top one shows that customer’s cases created by month and their current status, and the bottom one shows the account’s won opportunities by quarter.
