Summary

The focus of this chapter was debugging. We looked at the various tools ServiceNow gives us to debug our code and the methods we can use to make the most of them. We looked at the script debugger and making breakpoints, the session debugging modules, and debugging applications. We also took a look at the JavaScript Log and Field Watcher window, and how this can aid us in our debugging.

In the next chapter, we will explore ServiceNow best practices. This includes best practices when writing and debugging script on the client and server side. We will also investigate how this affects system performance and how we can streamline our code to make the best use of instance resources.
