Analysis Tools
13.1 Introduction
The creation of a geometric model is not the end of design but rather a means to study the part or assembly to ensure that it meets functional requirements such as stress analysis, fatigue analysis, thermal analysis, buckling, and so on. CAD/CAM systems offer a multitude of analysis tools that a designer can use to verify the design.
The crucial factor in using these analysis tools is understanding how to correctly set up the analysis, use the right input parameters, and interpret the results.
