2.1. Configuration Manager Features
Before you can begin planning to deploy Configuration Manager on your network, you need at least a basic understanding of the features that Configuration Manager provides. For veteran SMS 2003 administrators, these features will not be very different from what you are used to already. However, you will find several new features added to Configuration Manager, several features that were feature packs or add-ins in SMS 2003, and others that have been improved from their previous configuration. Additionally, through the use of the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) 3.0, you'll find home pages for most of the major 2.1 as well as throughout the chapter.
