6.6. Monitoring Software Distribution Status
After you set up an advertisement to deploy software, you will need to monitor the process and verify the results. You can perform these tasks in three ways: using the software distribution reports in Configuration Manager, using the Status Message Viewer, and using log files. Each of these shows the results in different ways. After you review the following sections, you can decide which method suits your needs the best.
