What do the fitness icon Arnold Schwarzenegger and the ancient Greek mathematician Euclid have in common? The answer is geometry. Euclid laid the foundations of geometry, allowing scientists to objectively measure the relative positions of objects. Arnold, consciously or not, used geometry to apply proper form during his training and maximize his muscle gains: when doing squats, he ensured his back did not bend forward; when doing bicep curls, he ensured his forearms traveled the whole range of motion.
