I recall one case, in particular, in which I worked with a consultant who managed millions and billions of dollars in assets. He was very good at what he did. However, he had a weakness for young women and alcohol. When he entered treatment, he was morally bankrupt, and his production was tanking. At some point, his perspective grew dark. Life became a constant grind, yet he could not understand the source of his increasing depression and anxiety.
