Just a few years ago film cameras were much simpler affairs. They had a few CSM settings that could be configured with a very simple control panel LCD on top of the camera. The settings used a system of hard-to-remember CS numbers. Few people could easily remember what CS 3 or CS 7 meant, so we used the small, thin user’s manuals for initial configuration or simply ignored the settings.
