Why do we need to measure? Remember when you bought your phone? One of the factors you considered was its storage capacity—you needed one with enough storage. When you went to the phone shop or went online, “enough storage” was not listed as an attribute of any of the phones on offer. However, “enough storage” is one of your requirements. Storage costs money, so you don’t splash out and buy the largest capacity they have. Instead, you calculate how big your photo and video collection is, how much music you want to hold in the phone, how many apps you have and their data amounts, and so on.
