By this time it is clear that AR involves much more than simply acting fast to seize an opportunity or bouncing back from a damaging impact. The challenge we find for many organizations today is not just to act quickly, but also knowledgeably and effectively, with well-developed and focused capabilities. In this chapter we add to this challenge the requirement to also act creatively and innovatively. Being Resourceful demands entrepreneurial thinking and action at individual and team levels as well as differentiated innovative capacity at organization and ecosystem levels.
