In earlier chapters, we established that innovation is a key byproduct of collaboration. As we also demonstrated, innovation is not just about technology, business models, or policies but also about social innovation.
Social software is at the core of this innovation, enabling us to create and support new social structures as a way to explore, develop, and adopt new ideas. Establishing a culture of innovation depends on effective communication, strong relationships, and increasing levels of trust.
