Chapter 7. Sound System
No level is complete without ambient sounds, distinct sound effects, and background music. Two options are available for working with sound in Unreal. The first is through the raw sound itself, which is imported from the WAV file format. The second option is known as a SoundCue, which is an instruction specifying the way the engine is to play a particular sound. The option you use depends greatly on what it is you’re trying to do with sounds in your level.
