Chapter 6: Expanded Object Storage Support – Capacity and Archive Tiers
Object storage is one of the many options for backup storage and repositories, including a few new additions for archiving data. This chapter will look at what object storage vendors are newly supported in Veeam Backup & Replication v11a. We will discuss how to set up capacity and archive storage within the environment. You will learn to configure a Scale-Out Backup Repository (SOBR) with the newly configured capacity and archive tiers. We will look at how immutability with Amazon S3 Glacier works, including policy-based offloading. Finally, we will look at cost-optimized archiving and storage using the new archive tier.
