7.1. Creating a Virtual Machine

VMM enables you to create a virtual machine in several ways, depending on what you need to do. VMM subdivides creation of virtual machines into three areas:

Source

The location (virtual machine host or library) in which virtual machine and template building blocks reside (virtual disk, template, virtual machine)

Action

The explicit task you execute in the console or CLI to create the virtual machine from the source

Target

The location (virtual machine host or Library) in which the virtual machine or template will be placed.
