6.2. Deployment Considerations
Virtual Machine Manager can manage Virtual Server with few deployment considerations. We will go through the prerequisites for management as well as any clustering and high-availability requirements for Virtual Server.
There is only one prerequisite for managing Virtual Server, and that is applicable only for Windows Server 2003 host operating systems: WS-Management v1.1 (also known as WinRM) needs to be downloaded and installed on the host computer prior to adding it as a managed host in VMM.
