9.2. Leveraging Performance and Resource Optimization
Now that the VMM management packs are imported in OpsMgr, the environment is ready for PRO. PRO has two main settings:
Monitoring level
Automation level
The monitoring level controls which OpsMgr monitors to enable for PRO in order to publish PRO tips on the VMM console, while the automation level controls which monitors' recovery tasks should be configured to auto-implement their respective remediation.
PRO packs can define three high-level types of tips:
PRO tips that target hosts
These tips can access the health of the host and its hardware and recommend migrating virtual machines to improve performance or to vacate a host from its virtual machines.
