Chapter 6. Managing Virtual Server Using VMM

When Virtual Machine Manager 2007 was originally released, the only virtualization platform it supported was Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2. VMM has come a long way in a short period of time, however, now supporting both Hyper-V and VMware ESX. Yet, the basic principles and scenarios that VMM used for supporting Virtual Server have remained. Once a user gets familiar with VMM, the virtualization platform is abstracted in the easy-to-use wizards and he or she can deploy and manage a virtual machine on any virtualization platform.
