7.5. Placement of a Virtual Machine
VMM simplifies the creation of virtual machines and performs all the heavy lifting when moving them between hosts. Intelligent Placement is the technology that recommends which host to place the virtual machine on. With other products, placement typically centers on simply choosing a host before creating a new virtual machine or migrating an existing one. This approach gives you no visibility into the actual capabilities of the host you selected and the effect of deploying the virtual machine to that host.
