Installing a root CA

In this section, we are going to walk through the process of setting up a server that will act as our root CA in the example lab. A server has already been built called HZN7-CERTS, which we will use for this role.

To configure the root CA, follow these steps:

  1. Open a console to the HZN7-CERTS server, and launch the Server Manager.
  2. Click on Add roles and features (1), as shown in the following screenshot:
