Up next, we will discuss Layer 2 bridging as a solution to allow virtual machines on a Logical Switch to extend their subnet beyond NSX and into the physical network.
This is commonly used in situations where you wish to have virtual machines (VMs) on the virtual side communicate directly with a firewall on the physical side. Normally, they would be in different subnets, but a Layer 2 Bridge allows them to share the same subnet, simplifying the design and your management of it.
