Attaching the ESXi host to the distributed vSwitch

The procedure is quite straightforward:

1. Right-click on the distributed vSwitch and select Add and Manage hosts.

2. Select which hosts will be connected to the distributed vSwitch. ESXi hosts can be connected to multiple distributed switches:

3. In Manage physical adapters, you need to assign which physical network interface cards of the ESXi host will be connected to the distributed vSwitch.

4. You have two options here:
   • Manual assignment of all pNICs of all ESXi servers
   • Template mode
