4.6. Performing an Orchestrated Upgrade
Now that I've discussed host upgrade baselines, I can revisit the idea of baseline groups and discuss a specific use case for baseline groups: the orchestrated upgrade. An orchestrated upgrade involves the use of a host baseline group and a VM/VA baseline group that, when run sequentially, will help automate the process of moving an organization's environment fully into VMware vSphere.
Consider this sequence of events:
You create a host baseline group that combines a host upgrade baseline with a dynamic host patch baseline to apply the latest updates.
