Images are an important topic to master when learning about Windows 7 deployment. All deployments of Windows 7 deploy images. The basic installation DVD includes images, and you can also use several tools to capture, manage, and deploy your own images in a production environment. Basic images include virtual hard drive (VHD) images, boot images, and install images. You can create a Windows 7 installation on a VHD image.
